Social Media Specialist

We’re looking for someone to manage our in-house social media as well as our client’s social media. This will require a good understanding of each target audience with the ability to write engaging content alongside appealing media. 

This does include standard social media management along with paid social media. 

The social media specialist position may not be full-time immediately and requires a team player willing to fill in other roles on the SEM team. Tasks may include:

  • Content writing

  • Digital advertising – Google/Bing

  • Social advertising – Facebook/Instagram

Social Media Specialist job description should contain the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy and for our clients

  • Define most important social media KPIs

  • Manage and oversee social media content

  • Measure the success of every social media campaign

  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies

  • Use social media marketing tools such as Buffer

  • Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Product Development teams

  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization

  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network

  • Provide constructive feedback

Social Media Specialist job description should contain the following requirements and qualifications:

  • Social Media Strategist using social media for brand awareness and impressions

  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and other social media best practices

  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics

  • Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research

  • Good understanding of social media KPIs

  • Familiarity with web design and publishing

  • Excellent multitasking skills

  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

  • Good time-management skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good content writing skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $35,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Digital Strategy: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Digital Marketing: 2 years (Preferred)

Work Location:

  • Ocala Office, remote work is common
